Goals from David Nyankum, Ekow Eshun and Isaac Mensah ensured Sekondi Hasaacas returned to winning ways as our stingy defense kept Asokwa Deportivo from doing the intended.
Lets take a closer look at how our defense aided yesterday’s determined performance against Asokwa Deportivo.
Coach Joseph Agyemang Junior opted for the usual 4:3:3 formation – Ekow Eshun returned to the starting eleven as the left back replacing Albert Adjei after missing out of Swedru All Blacks defeat.
Goalkeeper Anthony Brebo manned the poles, William Enchil and Patrick Eshun formed the base in the heart of the defense whiles Thomas Aboagye and Ekow Eshun slotted in at the right and left flanks respectively.
Joseph Dinku was the pivot point in the middle strategically to support the defense whiles Gideon Seidu Kumordzie had the temerity to slide forward at will.
Buoyed by home comforts and also keen to finish off the game with a win, Dinku started brightly and ended the game as the most outstanding player – he slide through the gears occasionally and calmed nerves when the away side threatened.
The Visitors made 10 attempt, 3 on target and 1 finding the back of the net. After finding the back line impenetrable, Asokwa Deportivo fancied shooting from afar.
Deportivo completed just a cross from their 7 attempts, that’s 14.3 percent and also a testament to how impressive the full backs(Thomas Aboagye and Ekow Eshun) were on the day.
We aim at a first away win and first away goal at Bekwai against BYFA on Sunday.
Who gets that goal?
