Our chances of making it out of the Zone 2B group is brightened thanks to Ibrahim Sanah’s goals against Nzema Kotoko in a 2-1 win at the Gyandu Park.

Coach JAJ was forced to make two changes to the starting eleven that played against Skyy FC. Seidu Kumordzie and George Ekow Annan replaced John Koomson and Edmund Ampofo.

How we started the game.

3. Daniel Egyin
14. Patrick Eshun
19. William Enchill
20. Joseph Dinku
24. Philip Flamini(Thomas Aboagye)
25. Albert Adjei
18. Ibrahim Sanah
35. Emmanuel Ebahoah
17. George Ekow Annan(David Nyankum)
37. Seidu Kumordze(Isaac Mensah)

It was clear from the on set that the game was going to be ours. Strings of efforts at goal right from kick off prompted that thought.

Emmanuel Ebahoah forced himself through two defenders and his strength and pace won him a free kick just on the edge of the penalty box of Nzema Kotoko. Ibrahim Sanah and Daniel Egyin were the two behind the ball and the former sent it straight to the roof of the net to register the opener of the day with 19 minutes showing on the game clock.

The visitors caused a real scare, with just 5 more minutes to the end of the first half which took the magic hand of Anthony Brebo to deflect the aiming shot at goal away to a corner kick.

We were second to all half advantaged balls, leaving dangerous from onset of the second half yet kept our cool and defended gallantly until the 66th minute when a cross deflected the back of an opponent to beat everyone including Anthony Brebo who was superb on the afternoon.

We were back in it for what looked like a playback of the first goal – Sanah repeated same skill and intelligence to slot home on the 72nd minute mark to put us in the driving seat once again, his third goal of the competition.

We held on till the final whistle of the referee, ensuring a 2-1 win at the Gyandu Park.
