Evelyn Badu and Janet Egyir were key as Black Queens 6-0 hammered Togo’s Sparrowhawks in game day 2 of the West Africa Football Union Zone B Women’s Cup of Nations.
Alice Kusi and Mavis Owusu were at the double and Grace Asantewaa and Abdulai Mukurama added a goal each as the Black Queens took a step further to the semi-finals of the tournament.
Badu, 16 played full time for the senior national team for the first time and capped it with another impressive performance.
Egyir was also key in defense helping the Black Queens to keep another shutout, the team’s second in 2 games.
Ghana are currently with 6 points and 8 goals and two clean sheets. The team will play again against Ivory Coast on Monday, May 13.
