Milot Pokuaa marked her full debut appearance for Ghana’s Black Queens in a 2-0 win against Gabon at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Goals from Portia Boakye and Juliet Acheampong at either half of the game were enough to see Black Queens impress the home fans again.

Black Queens wrapped up a 5-0 aggregate victory against Gabon today keeping a shutout in both legs.

Milot, 17-year-old came close on the day after rounding up the goalkeeper just to see her final shot whiskers off target.

Also, former Sekondi Hasaacas ladies center back, Janet Egyir impressed throughout the game adding to an impressive first leg performance at the heart of the Queens defense.

Milot who was part of the Black Maidens team that made it to the quarter finals stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Uruguay tasted her second appearance for the senior national team just a year after an impressive debut world cup with the U-17 side.

Evelyn Badu was unused in both legs.

With the victory, the Black Queens have set a me round qualifier against Kenya on 30 September – 8 October 2019 – the Black Queens will host the first leg on September 30 before the return encounter a week later at Nairobi.

Ghana is chasing qualification to an Olympic tournament since Athens 2004.
