Evelyn Badu and Rafia Alhassan Kulchirie are part of the 36 players called up to the camp of Ghana’s Female Youth team. The team will kick start preparations on Monday, May 14 ahead of the upcoming FIFA Under-20 World Cup to be hosted by France, from 5-24 August, 2018.

Ghana has been drawn against host France, New Zealand and newcomers Netherland.

Evelyn Badu has been explosive this campaign and her call-up didn’t come as a shock, 5 games played in the FreshPak National Women’s League, Badu has found the back of the net twice and won the Woman of the Match in Hasmal Ladies 2:0 win against Immigration Ladies. Badu also scored one of the 2:0 win against Halifax Ladies in the 2017-18 Sanford FA Cup openers.

Rafia Alhassan Kulchirie, the assistant skipper of the Black Princesses will be heading into the preparation among the 36 called up. After missing the first game against Halifax Ladies in the 2017-18 NWL, Rafia came from the bench to produce Milot Opoku’s cushioning in the 2:0 win against Immigration Ladies.

Ernestina Ama Abambila, a squad member in the 2013-14 National Women’s League winning team has also been handed a call-up as part of the six foreign players called up to the team.
