Let’s end today’s media round up with Club Writer, George Duah’s top three players from Sunday’s Sekondi Derby.

It was a tactical defensive approach by both managers, yet there were many top standard displays; Skipper Thomas Aboagye hortative moves down the right flank easily caught up with many, even landing applause as the player of the match though there were stiff competition from Joseph Dinku, Daniel Agyin and Fuseini Adams.

Thomas Aboagye – 9

For a right back, it takes a lot of discipline to surge forward effortlessly and draw back to mop up dangerous attacks from the opposition and it even more difficult against a side that preferably attack from the flanks.

Aboagye wasn’t perturbed by Eleven Wise’s wide play, he went about his duties expertly, he nearly found the back of the net, but his strike from about 25 yards out eluded the target by a whisker.

Joseph Dinku – 8

Outstanding on the day, prompting most of the dangerous attacks and doing all necessary mopping ups – Dinku’s apt passing game and shooting ability on the day rate him higher and lies just a point below Skipper Thomas Aboagye.

Daniel Agyin – 8

Never in doubt is the quality of Daniel Agyin, he’s perhaps one of the most consistent players in the last 8 years in Ghana Football. Agyin, impressively bossed play throughout the entire duration of the game, stopping attacks and creating plenty with long passing game.

He was impenetrable at the heart of the defense and gave Eleven Wise’s attack little breathing space despite seeing most of the ball.

That’s all for today’s media watch.
