Hasaacas Ladies gained the only slot to represent Ghana in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League after winning the 2019 NC Special Tournament.
The Giants came from a two goal down to beat Ampem Darkoa Ladies 3-2 in the final at the El Wak Stadium in 2019 to secure the title.
As part of the preparations ahead of the July 15 to July 30 qualifiers, The Club CEO, Mrs. Evelyn Nsiah Asare has called on various stakeholders to come on board and offer financial support to the club ahead of the campaign.
“Hasaacas Ladies are very ready for the tournament. We are appealing to all the Member of Parliaments in the Western Region(about 17 of them) to come to our aid with an amount of GHS 5,000 each to cater for some of our cost to the tournament”, she told Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy 98.9FM.”
“We are also pleading with the Regional Minister[Hon Kobby Okyere Darko Mensah] the First Lady[Rebeccaa Akufo-Addo], and the Women Caucasus in parliament to also come on board”. She added.
Hasaacas Ladies will trip to the Ivory Coast in July as they battle in the WAFU Zone B Qualifiers for one of the two tickets to play in the tournament proper later this year.
The four times national Champions is currently top of the Southern Zone with 27 points, two and seven points better than Berry Ladies and LadyStrikers in the second and third placed respectively.
