Former Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies center back, Linda Eshun scored a 62nd minute equalizer for Ghana’s Black Queens in a 1:1 friendly encounter against Kenya’s Harambee Starlets.

Kenya hosted Ghana at the Kasarani Stadium.

The two nations drawn apart in the upcoming Africa Women’s Cup of Nations were engaged in a friendly encounter to test their mettle ahead of the 2018 AWC.

Ghana will host seven other nations; Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Zambia, Mali, Cameroon and Algeria between November 17 and December 1 for the 12th edition of the African Women’s Cup of Nations.

Ghana is pitted in Group A against Algeria, Mali and Cameroon.

The tournament will also serve as the qualifiers for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Samira Suleman and Janet Egyir, both former Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies players were starters in the game.

Midfielder, Lily Niber Lawrence who’s the deputy skipper of Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies was an unused substitute.

Black Queens are expected to return to Ghana on Friday, November 9, to continue preparation for their next friendly game against South Africa on Sunday, November 11 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
