Legendary Hasaacas forward, Windsor Kofi Abbrey was showered with gifts by his former team mates last Saturday, August 29, 2020.

Abbrey returned to Hasaacas FC for the second time in his playing career in 1997 to 2000 after a near perfect era in the 1980s.

He combined beautifully with others to win several trophies for Hasaacas FC in the Club’s golden generation in the early 1980s including West African Football Union Cup in 1982 and 2 SWAG Cups.

Abbrey was an integral part of Ghana’s last African Cup of Nations trophy winning team in Libya 1982, which Hasaacas contributed five key starters; right back Isaac Paha, the skipper of the team late Emmanuel Quarshie, center half Kukuu Dadzie and Goalkeeper Joseph Carr.

In the dying embers of his rather impressive football career, the winger who could turn corners into goals was paid a courtesy visit by his 1997 to 2000-Year Group.

A star studded former players including; Raymond Fenney and George Owu, both goalkeepers who featured prominently in various national teams, Kwabena Boafo, John Ainoo and several others joined the fore to visit the Legendary Kofi Abbrey, whom they described as a fatherly figure during the era they played together.

The group presented a cash gift and other products to Kofi Abbrey who for some time now has been on sick bed.

There were other management members, supporters and other media personnel present at the ceremony.
