We have it all to do in the rest of the fixtures as we succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Ladystrikers on the hard Aggrey Memorial Park.
We couldn’t have hoped for a better start to the game, several chances came our way and try as we did it was Ladystrikers that went ahead twice through Gladys Amfobea and Gifty Addae Boakye.
Our Starting Eleven
Milot Abena Pokuaa
The rugged nature of the turf of the Aggrey Memorial Park did the most in the first half for the host, as Hasmal Ladies tried to adjust.
Milot Abena Pokuaa should have scored the opener on the 26th minute, her effort after rounding the goalkeeper met a strong foot from a defender in between the poles.
Gifty Assifuah found herself free within scoring range and fired a thunderbolt inside the net, only for the referee to stop play for an earlier foul.
After recess, it was the host that lit up and deservedly went ahead twice through Gladys Amfobea and Gifty Addae Boakye within 4 minutes.
We manned up, found our rhythm and our exchanges, delightfully produced a half field dominance, controlling and dictating the pace and direction of the ball.
Perpetual Agyekum grabbed a consolation via a spot kick, after a defender of Ladystrikers had handled the ball in the box. She effortlessly scored from the spot to reduce the deficit.
It ended 2-1 for the host and we will have it all to do in our subsequent games.
We go again against Sea Lions at the Bompeh Park on Wednesday, March 13 at exactly 3:00pm.
