Ibrahim Sanah Mohammed provided another trademark strike in the first half which was bettered by Sekondi Eleven Wise’s double strikes in the second half.

The Sekondi Derby went south despite enjoying the chunk of the possession and creating avalanche of chances.

It was a similar lineup for this game against our city rivals;

22. Michael Kwofie
25. Nathaniel Eshun
11. Isaac Asare
14. Nana Egyir
37. Roger Dakurah
8. Saddick Labanti
18. Ibrahim Sanah
20. John Koomson
9. Bernard Morrison
17. David Fianya
24. Philip Flamini

David Fianya and Bernard Morrison led the park, behind the two attackers were Philip Flamini, Ibrahim Sanah, Saddick Labanti and John Koomson.

Ahead of Michael Kwofie were Nathaniel Eshun and Isaac Asare on the right and left back respectively and a central pair of Nana Egyir and Rashid Alhassan.

The game tipped off after a delayed kick off time following Eleven Wise’s insistence on bending the regualtions of the competition.

Following a delayed start time due to the above, it was Eleven Wise that moved up to a full gear in the early embers of the game.

On the verge of the first half whistle, Ibrahim Sanah pulled a surprise by connecting beautifully to a Philip Flamini’s well timed cross to send Hasmal 1-0 up before recess.

Eleven Wise came in stronger in the second half; a deflected clearance off Rashid Alhassan went pass Michael Kwofie before Prince Opoku launched a volley to put Eleven Wise in the lead for the first time in the game.

The introduction of David Nyankum and Obed Asamoah Ackah inspired the upfront and attacks from Philip Flamini, Obed Asamoah Ackah and David Nyankum should have at least pulled the leveler if not a winner.

It ended with Eleven Wise snatching all points.

With a point in the bag, we are currently lying third on the log behind Skyy FC and Eleven Wise with 4 and 6 points respectively.

Eleven Wise are currently through to the semifinals of the Goldfields Western Region Invitational Tournament with another slot widely opened for Hasaacas FC and Skyy FC.

We will go again against Skyy FC at the Gyandu Park on Monday, September 23.
