Ibrahim Sanah and Obed Asamoah Ackah were the scorers as Hasmal beat Proud United at the Gyandu Park.

Skipper on the day, Ibrahim Sanah Mohammed broke down a stubborn Proud United side with an injury time winner to push Hasmal back to winning ways.

It should definitely wareant one of those footballing moments which should be cherished by any football loving fan as a closely contested game was separated by the midfielder who took his tally to 5 in the competition with a must watch volley.

What really happened….

Adabadji Asare and Jay Kola Asamoah were handed debut appearance whiles Philip Flamini also returned to the bench after 5 games off.

Hasmal started brightly and Proud United did little in attack, getting frustrated by the runs of the inform Eric Quarshie who has made the most in our recent run of games.

Quarshie was brought down numerously in the opponents right flank where he did most of the damage, tries from Ibrahim Sanah and Daniel Egyin from the resulting free kicks lacked precision.

The deadlock was broken by Obed Asamoah Ackah who after receiving a defense splitting pass from David Nyankum lobbed the ball off the goalkeeper to send Hasmal in the driving seat.

The goal stood for just 2 minutes, Proud United levelled matters with carpet shot from the outside of the penalty box.

After recess, Hasmal did most of the attack, Eric Quarshie continued prompting all the necessary dangers yet turning them to goals remained the problem.

Philip Flamini and Emmanuel Ebahoah came on to beef things up, adding more flesh going forward yet Proud United were as resolute in the back till Sanah showed up in the added on time.

With almost 4 out of the 6 additional minutes done, Eric Quarshie won a corner kick down the left flank and Koomson sent it in nicely which was flicked back by Jay Asamoah Kola, creating space for Sanah who was alone in the box, the midfielder sent in a pile driver to turnthe fans at the Gyandu Park wild.

Hasmal claimed all the three points and will move to 13 points with 4 more games to go.
