Hasaacas Ladies is delighted to announce the signing of Faustina Aidoo, Veronica Appiah and Abigail Appiah ahead of the new season…
Veronica Appiah: the proven athlete returns to where she started her career having helped Hasmal Ladies to secure two National Women’s League titles in the 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 NWL Seasons.
Veronica Appiah has had stints with both of Ghana’s juvenile teams[U-17 and U-20] at the world cup level in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
She last spent time with French side Callais FC.
Faustina Aidoo joins from Berry Ladies where she competed as the skipper of the side.
Aidoo, 19, was part of the Black Maidens team that competed in the 2018 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Uruguay, she’s also a member of the Black Princesses team.
Abigail Appiah: the Black Maidens midfielder will be tasting the WPL for the first time following her move from Oforikrom Ladies FC in the Women’s Division One League.
According to Head Coach, Yusif Basigi who also doubles as the technical director for the Sekondi Hasaacas FC brand, these acquisitions are necessary looking at the hurdle ahead.
“We have secured the signatures of the three of the best players in the local game.
“Veronica Appiah, is a tried and tested player, she’s good with the head and controls and shoots very well.
“Faustina Aidoo is a proven material and I’m glad she’s shared her willingness to play for us.
“Abigail Appiah is also a great player, she’s young and will grow to help our cause” – Coach Yusif Basigi told the Club’s Media.
Hasaacas Ladies, unprecedented 4 times national champions is currently fine-tuning ahead of what is termed the most difficult Women’s Premier League season ahead.
