Sekondi Hasaacas FC face Skyy FC to end the 15 games at home in this season’s Division One League and Club Journalist, George Duah has taken a look at some of the numbers and the pre-match talking points ahead of the game.
SQUAD CONSISTENCY
It’s been a backbreaking run of a season which will be remembered as such for Hasmal and Coach Mustapha Fudail may well utilize the what he’s shown in squad consistencies against Coach Malik Mohammed’s men on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at the Sekondi Gyandu Park.
We’ve had to play 3 games in 8 days; Skyy FC, Eleven Wise and end the season against Asokwa Deportivo.
It’s the final push for the squad who has shown great commitment throughout this season’s campaign. Two games in 3 days from July 18, 2021 and July 20, 2021 before the end game on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Ejisu Okese Park.
There could be a much changed squad for either of the two games, but that’s left to the two in charge: Mustapha Fudail and Joseph Agyemang.
IS MICHAEL KWOFIE BACK TO HIS OLD FORM?
Could be a run of games for the young shot-stopper. Michael Kwofie who put up 4 incredible saves as a replacement for Anthony Brebo leading to our 2–1 win away to Unistar Academy.
Michael Kwofie stretched full length to parry a free kick just on the edge of the penalty box. Again, he made an outstanding save stopping a strike that was aiming at the edge of the underside of goal before being cleared to safety by Bernard Ebo Eshun.
Safe to say Michael Kwofie was between Unistar and the equalizer.
With Anthony Brebo nursing his wound following the ferocious turn of event at the Swedru Stadium, Coach Mustapha Fudail can call Michael Kwofie to action again.
UNBEATEN RUN TO CONTINUE?
Our home unbeaten run remains intact throughout the season; 6 wins and 8 draws we’ve had in our 14 games at home. Our record though doesn’t make for that fine reading one might expect but with all what has happened this season and being able to carve that is quite impressive.
In fact, we’ve conceded 6 goals in the 14 games and scored 14 goals in the process makes for a good game against the Daboase-based side.
Nine cleansheets we’ve had and conceded in 5 games out of the 14 outings also.
OUR MEETINGS WITH SKYY FC
This will be our second meeting at home against Skyy FC with the first ending goalless. In all our meetings at home it turns out even, one wins for both side and the previous goalless draw game.
The goals stand two for both sides.
Can we end the season with that intact?
