Right winger Philip Flamini is optimistic about our chances ahead of Tuesday’s MTN FA Cup Round of 64 tie against topflight side, Karela United FC.
We were pitted against the Aiyinasie-based side following our 5–0 drabbing of lower tier side, Dolphins FC.
The game comes off at exactly 3:00pm at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
Flamini who has been out of the field for almost 2 months was an unused substitute in our last outing against Pacific Heroes FC which ended goalless.
The attacking midfielder has some praise for the technical team led by Mustapha Fudail for their encouraging words always and talked about how strong the opponent is ahead of the all-important show down.
“We just finished today’s session and it was a great one, the players are all in high spirit for the game and we have had the technical team taking us through the paces and giving us some encouragement. The opponent in question is in itself a bigger task for us, but our main aim is to make it to the round of 32.
“Karela United have several experience players, we have played them before and the outcome shows we can beat them come Tuesday. They have great central midfields which always aid their possessive game, but we are equally a good side. It won’t be an easy outing, we just have to give our best” – Philip Flamini
Before his long term injury lay off, Philip had scored 3 times and assisted twice for the Giants.
