A misfiring Hasaacas FC will make do with an away point against Unistar Academy at the Akoon Park.
Substitute Abubakari Issaka and Kwabena Baidoo came closest to getting Hasmal the needed goal – but their efforts missed the goal by inches.
Coach Joseph Agyemang awarded Daniel Egyin his first start of the season; he was deployed as a left wing back alongside Thomas Aboagye manning the right.
Bernard Ebo Eshun, Theophilus Nana Awortwe and Abeiku Ainooson were the three central defenders. Alex Kofi Murphy and Abdul Sawah Yahaya had the central midfield roles.
In attack were Kwabena Baidoo, Obed Asamoah Ackah and Patrick Odoom. It was a welcoming weather for association football as the home side ushered the game underway.
Unistar Academy threatened the early minutes but Mustapha Rabiu Dambaba equalled two saves to keep Hasmal in the game. At the other end it was Kwabena Baidoo who volleyed two efforts on goal, but saw those balls sail a whisker wide off goal.
It ended nil at the first half.
It was Hasaacas that responded quickest in the second half yet failed to utilize all the chances that came our way.
Abubakari Issaka who came on to replaced Obed Asamoah Ackah became an instant live wire upfront alongside Patrick Odoom and Kwabena Baidoo.
Issaka pulled a stunning a beautiful bicycle kick which was tipped off goal by the goalkeeper for a corner kick.
Kwabena Baidoo should have found the back of the net after turning two defenders and send a curled effort towards goal which beat everyone but the goal post.
It ended with no goal to either side.
Hasaacas will be hosting Future Stars at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Sunday, March 13, 2022.
