It was a goalless stalemate in today’s Normalization Committee’s game week 9 encounter against Venomous Vipers at the Gyandu Park.
A fine chance missed by David Nyankum, a Thomas Aboagye penalty which flew way off target and a couple of other decent chances all could just near goal.
The Visitors were just second to all half advantaged balls; as Joseph Dinku, John Koomson and Isaac Mensah took absolute control of the midfield, but what led that was pure hard luck which prevented the team from making most of the opportunities created.
On the day…
Coach Joseph Agyemang Jr made 4 changes from the squad that snatched 4 points from 6 against Star Madrid.
Ibrahim Sanah for the first time was pushed to the bench, Eric Quarshie had his debut appearance in an Hasmal shirt.
It was clear that we were the better side, but as nearly as the team came in the end it was manifestive of the fact that nearly is nothing – straightforward not a goal.
Vipers caused some real scare, huge thanks to the able hands of our teenage goalkeeper, Michael Kwofie who stood between the Cape Coast based side and goal.
The shot-stopper for Vipers got a hand to an incredible volley from Theophilus Nana Awortwe and with that it was clear enough that the ball wouldn’t just went the twine. And the game will end 0-0.
We play Proud United next at the Gyandu Park, on Wednesday, May 8.
