Skipper Abeiku Ainooson was on hand to seal a vital point for Sekondi Hasaacas FC in a one all draw away to Proud United FC.
Abeiku Ainooson curled in a free kick with 2 minutes of the additional time to full time to end another pulsating game against Proud United FC at the Sekondi Gyandu Park.
How it started.
Coach Mustapha Fudail made several changes to the lineup for the last outing against BYF Academy.
Ebenezer Jarkwei remained the shot stopper and a three-man defense made up of Abeiku Ainooson, Nathaniel Eshun and Fuseini Issaka who was handed his first cap of the season.
John Komson, Eric Wonkyi Arthur, Philip Flamini, Daniel Egyin and Ibrahim Sanah Mohammed were the men in the middle.
Sampson Eduku and Justus Torsutsey led the attack.
Early chances fell on the path of Hasmal as the opposite goalkeeper did well to thwart efforts of Philip Flamini, John Koomson and Sampson Eduku.
Flamini’s strike hit the back of the net after he well controlled a cross from Daniel Egyin inside the box to send home, but the linesman was seen hoisting his flag for an offside.
Hasmal took control of the game after 10 minutes inside the second half and should have been ahead through Sampson Eduku; the attacker’s overhead kick was whisker wide off goal and his headed 4 minutes later was parried by the goalkeeper for a corner kick.
Flamini who’s inside the box saw his low shot meeting the firm hands of the goalkeeper before the latter again stretched wide enough to deny Kwame Arhinful Arthur another glorious chance.
Proud United took full advantage of the absence of Abeiku Ainooson off the pitch and did the most with the only chance that came their way to go up.
Abeiku Ainooson came on and with few seconds to the end of the game leveled matters with a free kick.
