A first half highly-contested goal awarded to Star Madrid meant Hasmal has to pound the surface for what’ll be a parity.
Alfred Payne had the goal at his mercy but his effort chipped off goal – he was later subbed off for Obed Asamoah Ackah after 30 minutes into the game due to an injury.
Obed Ackah came one-on-one with the goalkeeper but his decision to round him up saw the ball roll out of play for a goal kick.
We turned the tide against the Visitors and chances created failed to find the back of the net including a 44th minute penalty when Benjamin Acqua Mills was brought down by the goalkeeper which was blown above the cross bar by Abeiku Ainooson.
Hasmal increased the intensity into the game and in the second half deservedly found the equaliser through Abeiku Ainooson – a tap-in at close range.
The game ended 1-1, a repeat of the first round’s 0-0 draw at the Unistar Academy Park, Kasoa.
