Skipper Abeiku Ainooson was on target for the 5th time this season in our 2-1 defeat to Swedru All Blacks in the match day 20 games.
Coach Mustapha Fudail conjured another tactical masterpiece yet our backline were undone by sheer luck in conceding what could have easily been delt with in the second half.
Hasmal gave away two goals in the last 20 minutes with the match winner coming 5 minutes to full time.
Abeiku Ainooson had early put Hasmal in the lead with his well read free kick from distance out which caught the goalkeeper off guard.
The Center Back made it two free kicks this season on the 65th minute and should have been enough to seal the victory for Hasmal who were overly dominate throughout the game.
Hasmal had created several chances in the opening minutes of the game; Kwame Arhinful Arthur failed to control a ball despite being free in the penalty yard, Emmanuel Ebahoah failed to tee one up for Roger Lamptey who was lurking in the box and Roger also spent much time on what should have been a cross for a three on two situation.
The second department saw Hasmal go up first, but it was the host that benefitted from a lack of concentration and a miscommunication to punish the Giants.
Hasmal now has all to do in the remainder of the season’s games.
The next outing will be against Dolphins in the MTN FA Cup before hosting Venomous Vipers on match day 21 of the Division One League.
The team is currently on 24 points and 10th on the league log.
